Eat Out to Help Out scheme: our Hammersmith team’s pick of the bunch
With most eateries in West London signed up to the scheme, the team at our King Street office share their favourite lunch spots from the list.
As part of the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s new mini-budget announced in July, diners choosing to go out on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays this month can receive up to 50% off their final bill (up to £10 per person) when dining in. Whilst not all restaurants are taking part, fortunately for the team at our Hammersmith office, nearly all of their lunchtime favourites are. I asked some of the team to give their top recommendations from the local restaurants taking part in the scheme:
Autumn Carpenter Communications
Coffee Station, King street
“My go to for a strong oat flat white before work. Friendly staff, impeccable music playlist and a sandwich display that can make your stomach rumble from across the road.”
Michael Mudie MARLA Operations Manager
The Cross Keys, Black lion Lane
“The Cross Keys riverside has long been my favourite spot for a peaceful Sunday lunch. It’s great value and the menu has everything you’d want and more from a proper pub.”
Aggie Tukendorf MARLA Assistant Lettings Manager
Artisan, Stamford Brook
“I don’t mind boldly saying that it’s the best coffee in Hammersmith!”
Amy Flood Property Manager
The Hampshire, King Street
“The team’s favourite spot for a post-work pint. I love the size of the garden here and every time you get the best service from the whole team. Then there’s the menu of delicious Indian food– it’s to die for!”
John Horton MNAEA MARLA Director
Indian Zing, King Street
“Manoj and the team at Indian Zing are the best in the business, you’d be hard pushed to find a better curry (or service) in the borough. Every time I go I’m guaranteed an incredible meal.”
Phil Coombes MNAEA Assistant Sales Manager
Mari Deli & Dining, Eyot gardens
“Truly Italian food. Everything on the counter is fresh and delicious but nothing can beat their traditional Tiramisu- best enjoyed with an espresso by the river.”
Charlie Carroll Sales negotiator
Sam’s Riverside, Crisp Walk
“Very happy that this gorgeous riverside brasserie has joined the scheme. Dinner along the Thames with a good bottle of wine is a perfect evening.”
Martin Clements MNAEA Sales Manager
Anglesea Arms, Wingate Road
“A Brackenbury Village icon. There’s always a fish cooked to perfection on the menu and a classic British dessert to follow it.”
Ashley Prowse Property Manager
Jin-Da, Studland Street
“Order ‘The Special’: stir fried chicken with basil, chilli, garlic and topped with a fried egg. When it’s across the street from your desk it’s very hard to resist!”
