Charitable giving is part of our DNA.

As local residents and business owners, John and Paul are committed to giving back to the communities that help Horton and Garton thrive. In a time of ever-increasing austerity and cuts to essential charities, we’re proud to go the extra mile not only for our clients but the community at large. If we can lend a hand, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Here are a few of our most recent sponsorships:

The Upper Room:

“Thank you so much for everything. The indefatigable energy of all your team made a tremendous difference.”
Simon Tuke, Chair of Trustees

The Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank:

“We rely on the generosity of local residents and businesses to ensure that we can continue to meet the demand of the thousands of local people in crisis referred to the Hammersmith & Fulham foodbank for emergency food each year. The support and encouragement that we have received from Horton and Garton over the last year or so has been AMAZING! Everyone at Horton and Garton seems to really care about us, and our cause. Nothing is ever too much trouble, they are always willing to help in any way possible, even offering to support us in ways that we hadn’t even though of yet! It’s humbling to know that we are just one of the many charities that they help each year.”
Daphine Aikens, Founder and CEO

Crosslight Advice:

“The donation from Horton and Garton helped to fund the cream tea of our first Local Poverty Awareness Walk. It is so important for small local charities to get support in running such events, which help the local community to get together, raise awareness and finding ways to support the most vulnerable of our society. Poverty in Hammersmith is often quite hidden and has a stigma, therefore it is important to have events which give the daily struggles of people in the midst of our community a voice.”

The Lyric Theatre:

“The Lyric Hammersmith is delighted to be a charity partner with Horton and Garton – as a local charity in Hammersmith and West London, we rely on the generosity of local people and businesses to keep our theatre ticket prices low and to run all our arts programmes with children and young people in the community.

Our partnership with Horton and Garton has helped us spread the word about our work and the need for support, but has also resulted in donations. John Horton has a wonderful initiative where the company makes a donation to the chosen charity of their client when selling. We benefit when clients are happy for Horton and Garton to make the recommendation of giving to the Lyric!

We’re incredibly grateful for businesses like Horton and Garton who are real pillars of the community, and who recognise the importance of working together to make West London a safe and welcoming place.”
Lucy Howe, Director of Development

Chiswick House and Gardens Trust:

“Throughout the process it has been wonderful to work with you and your team and I would like to thank you all for the support you offered us both financially and in terms of the marketing of the events. As a historic house in a storied part of town, Horton and Garton was an ideal partnership for the Trust.”

Chiswick Timeline:

“It’s always a pleasure to work with Horton and Garton on Abundance London’s projects – most recently the Timeline under the railways at Turnham Green. Paul enabled us to provide a high quality art trail for visitors to the Timeline, and helped us to deliver the educational materials to all the local schools when we were unable to do it ourselves due to illness. I look forward to working with this enthusiastic and committed team on future community projects to improve the local environment in Chiswick.”
-Dr Karen Liebreich MBE, Abundance London

Southfield Primary School PTA (SPSA):

“I know John Horton personally, so I’m especially fond of you guys and delighted that we are building a great relationship with you. Your enthusiasm for our fundraising and tireless efforts to support us are genuine, touching and so encouraging. Sometimes it feels like a slog to keep raising money for schools but people like you make it fun.”

Heathfield House School PTA:

“Horton and Garton’s Chiswick branch has been extremely charitable in its support of the Heathfield House School Parents’ Association which raises money in support of the school’s nominated charities – this year, Great Ormond Street Hospital. The Heathfield House School Parents’ Association feel very lucky to have Horton and Garton as neighbours supporting these important causes.”

Orchard House School PTA:

“Since 2017 Horton and Garton has been tremendously generous in its support of the Orchard House School Summer Fair which raises money in support of our school’s nominated charities – the Bumblebee Conservation Trust (in 2017) and the Blue Marine Foundation (in 2018) as well as the House Schools Trust – our bursary fund and the OHSPA. The Orchard House School Parents’ Association have felt extremely fortunate to have Horton and Garton as neighbours supporting these wonderful causes year after year.”

Grove Park Terrace Street Party:

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you. You bring such an energy and warmth to the party that I feel like you are just a part of our street now. I said it on Saturday and I absolutely meant it – we couldn’t do it without you. You are all amazing.”
-Boris Pomeroy, organiser

“HUGE, HUGE thanks to you guys! Horton and Garton were incredible sponsors. You’ll be pleased to hear that we raised an awesome £1,000 for The Upper Room which we are, of course, over the moon about. The donation is then matched by BP so hopefully we’ll have at least another £500 for the charity, if not more!”
-Sabrina Wisely, organiser

The Addison Singers:

“The Addison Singers choirs have been a popular charitable organisation in the Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush area for nearly 40 years. Our membership is now around 240 singers spread over classical and jazz choirs and classes. We’re delighted that Horton and Garton have kindly contributed significantly to our ongoing success by generously sponsoring us and actively helping to promote our concerts and events in the local area. It’s great to see that they take a genuine interest in the community and local events, and are a real pleasure to deal with. Many thanks to John Horton and the teams at Horton and Garton!”

Petros Singers:

“We are most grateful to Horton and Garton as sponsorship partners, allowing us not only to broaden our reach and repertoire but also to offer singing bursaries for people aged 27 and under.”

W4 Ceramics Fair:

“A huge thank you Horton and Garton Chiswick  for the support financially and the marketing for the W4 Ceramics Fair which raised money for Emmaus House, Acton. It was a real pleasure to work with the team and wonderful to be able to support this homeless charity that help the most vulnerable people in our society. Thank you Horton and Garton.”

“We are so grateful to you for supporting the first Cookbook Festival from the get-go. Your genuine enthusiasm for our event, as well as your helpful advice and ideas throughout the process, helped towards the smooth running of our show. We hope that we can work with you again next year!”

“A big thank you to the people at Horton and Garton who helped to make The St Nicks in Bloom Flower and Music Festival such a great success! We raised over £5000 towards the development of St Nicholas Parish Church, for our community. We look forward to working with Horton and Garton in the future on other projects that will strengthen our parish community in West London.”

“Last year, we were delighted when Horton and Garton became the principle sponsors of Artists at Home. We actually had a choice of three companies, but it was an easy decision for us. Horton and Garton had exactly the right ethos and their commitment to the community was exemplary.

From the outset, it was apparent that this would be no ordinary commercial sponsorship, but a synergic partnership between a young and vibrant estate agent and one of the oldest open studio schemes in the UK, Artists at Home. Directors John Horton and Paul Cooney and their equally committed PR executive, Jenn Irvine, immersed themselves in the event, optimising every opportunity to publicise it and visiting a large percentage of the studios over the three days.

We are extremely grateful for the sponsorship and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Horton and Garton which blossoms over the third weekend every June.”

-Joanna Brendon MBE, MA

Maths Teams:

“Thank you for your support leading up to and at our inaugural competition. From handing out certificates to catching those moments on video we didn’t see, Horton and Garton has been an amazing part of our “village” that’s raising up maths teams at the primary school level.

It’s one thing to go to a competition, it’s another thing to walk away with cool swag. You helped make Maths Teams memorable for all the teams with your sponsorship. The T-shirts, keyrings, and trophy looked fabulous and were an integral part making maths fun for the kids to the adults. Thank you for pulling it all off and being flexible with our ideas and timing.

Maths Teams give the UK’s children – especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds and particularly girls – a better chance of competing in the tech-led future by helping them to develop intellectual grit through scholastic competitions. Horton and Garton is helping make that happen.”
