KidZania: fun and education in West London

Childrens’ entertainment centre in Westfield White City the ‘real world’

Children’s entertainment expert KidZania has opened its latest outpost at Westfield in White City, packed with more than 40 different experiences to captivate youngsters from four to 14.

There are 15 branches of KidZania worldwide from Dubai to Tokyo, Istanbul to Bangkok, and the London outlet – the first in the UK – has a distinctly British flavour.

Westfield director of development Duncan Bower said that the launch of KidZania in June added a ‘new dimension’ to the shopping centre.

The new two-storey attraction also includes a kindergarten packed with musical instruments, puzzles and games, and a four-room wing filled with role-play toys, fancy dress and a water trampoline.

Whether riding in a fire engine with a real water hoses, performing on stage at the 87-seat theatre, or climbing the city’s tallest building, KidZania chairman Joel Cadbury said the attraction had gone to ‘extraordinary lengths to ensure the city is as authentic and true to the real world as possible’.
