Owner and Director, John has lived, worked and raised his family in Hammersmith for over 20 years. His wealth of contacts and property experience across Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush, Chiswick and West Kensington is the stuff of legend. Years in corporate agency crystallised for John the importance of staff retention, dedication to continual training and industry qualification. Above all, it cemented a client-focused approach to business. Number one for sales agreed across Hammersmith, Shepherds Bush and Chiswick and number one for lettings in Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush, Horton and Garton is now one of the most successful independent businesses in West London. While working tirelessly for his clients, John’s devotion to the local community has never wavered. Horton and Garton supports a variety of charities, community groups and local events every year. His years of experience and wholehearted devotion to client satisfaction have earned John an impeccable reputation and many awards.

Paul Cooney

Director, Chiswick Sales

Horton and Garton’s Chiswick office opened in April 2017 and was born over a riverside pint. Realising they share the same principles of honesty, integrity and professionalism, Paul and John decided it was the perfect partnership.

Fast forward a few years to Autumn 2020 and Paul is celebrating completing his 500th property sale, an outstanding figure representing the impressive success he has enjoyed as a selling agent. Since it opened in 2017, the Chiswick office has maintained its position as one of the top three agencies for sales agreed in W4 according to Rightmove, unsurprising with such a talented individual at the helm.

Paul’s intelligent approach to each home he lists and decision to work with just a small selection of hand-picked properties proves advantageous to clients. His ‘precision pricing’ and ability to perfectly match homes to buyers often result in sales being agreed entirely off market, before they’re ever marketed openly.

While the Chiswick office has already won several national accolades for the stellar service provided to clients, Paul has been individually honoured by The Estate Agent of the Year Awards over the past few years and most recently the ESTAS 2020 People Award.

Ashley Clements

Branch Manager

West London local, avid QPR fan and recent new dad, Ashley started his estate agency career with John in Hammersmith in 2004. He joined Horton and Garton in its first year of business and now runs the most successful and market leading lettings team in Hammersmith, Chiswick and Shepherds Bush. His local knowledge of West London and unparalleled industry knowledge and experience make him a favourite among landlords and tenants. He is consistently on the front foot with changing legislation, regulation and licensing. Famously unflappable, Ashley’s approach to your property is always the height of professionalism. 

Phil Coombes

Sales Manager

Phil, a seasoned Horton and Garton team member with a glittering career in West London property, helms our sales team of three superb negotiators. He was nicknamed “the Hammersmith Terrier” by a prominent local solicitor for his dogged, intelligent approach to his clients’ transactions.  He handles each client with the utmost care and professionalism, consistently delivering our signature sterling service. Phil is renowned for working long hours to ensure the sales and acquisitions process is as seamless as possible for all parties. He relishes the opportunity to meet new people and help guide them through the selling and buying process. Phil is, for his sins, a  Torquay United supporter and enjoys watching and playing both football and tennis. 

Aggie Tukendorf

Lettings Manager

Aggie first started at Horton and Garton in 2010. Her degree in Public Relations, boundless energy, tenacity and winning smile have led her to carve out a successful career in lettings. Part of the furniture at Horton and Garton, she helps make up the most successful lettings team in Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush. Aggie is constantly exceeding expectations for landlords and tenants alike and still maintains that the best part of the job is meeting people and helping to find their ideal home. If you’re a keen skier, you’ll be able to glean insider property info as well as the best knowledge on ski locations throughout Europe.

Michael Mudie

MARLA
Operations Manager

Born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne, Michael moved to London in 2013 to advance his career in property management and further his property knowledge in a much larger city along with obtaining his ARLA qualifications. Michael has re-joined the Horton and Garton team as our Operations Manager, having spent the last two years working for another estate agency in Fitzrovia. With a hands-on and pragmatic approach to problem solving and getting the job done, Michael always works in the best interests for all parties involved and ensures all landlords and contractors are promptly paid. 

Jenn Irvine

Senior Communications and Operations

With a background in public relations and communications, Jenn assisted Paul and John in establishing Horton and Garton’s Chiswick office. Jenn has relished the opportunity to help grow the business and communicate the consistent message that Horton and Garton is helmed by the most honest, client-focussed and hard-working professionals in the Chiswick, Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush communities. She is happiest when she’s delivering the five star service our sellers and buyers have come to expect as standard. A firm believer in servant leadership, Jenn chaired the Chiswick and Hammersmith branch of the NCT, sat on the committee of the Belmont School’s PTA and was a part of the core team of volunteers that established The Shelter Project Hounslow in 2011. Jenn still volunteers in the Christ Church Turnham Green TSPH kitchen every winter. Jenn has an MSc in Global Media and Communications from the London School of Economics and an MA in Global Communications from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communications. 

Charlie Carroll

Sales Negotiator

Charlie’s property career began in 2005 when he worked Saturdays for his families estate agency in  Windsor, Berkshire, though he quickly graduated to a full time position. Deciding to leave for sunnier climes in 2014 he moved to the French Riviera, selling luxury homes around Monaco, Cannes and Valbonne before finally arriving in Hammersmith in July 2019. With 15 years in the business, Charlie brings a wealth of experience to the H&G sales team and is very happy to work with buyers in English or French. Charlie takes great pleasure understanding each buyers specific requirements and is completely at home in the cosmopolitan West London property scene.

Louise Jones

Sales Negotiator

Our newest joiner makes an experienced addition to Team H&G. Having begun her property career in Chiswick, Louise founded and ran a successful property management firm before expanding her expertise into property sales where she is now most at home. She has lived, worked and raised three children right here in West London and brings over two decades of experience across Prime West London’s ‘golden triangle’ of Hammersmith, Shepherd’s Bush and Chiswick.

Louise is also a former personal trainer with a lifelong passion for fitness and wellbeing and takes great pleasure in outpacing her younger colleagues! Crucially, she shares our collective passion for delivering a first class sales experience to Horton and Garton’s clients and is already a popular figure with buyers and sellers alike.

Tadas Kazakounis

Sales Negotiator

Tadas joined Horton and Garton as an experienced Sales Negotiator keen to work with a local, independent agency. Having lived in the area for over 15 years, he has first-hand experience of the Prime West London sales market. Tadas is always keen to have an active, positive role in our local community of which he is so fond. Prior to working in the property sector Tadas gained excellent customer service training within a hospitality background and always aims to deliver our signature 5-star service to Horton and Garton sellers and buyers. Outside of work, he is an avid supporter of The Blues and attends matches at Stamford Bridge whenever he’s able to wrangle a ticket. His favourite local restaurant is D Grande, a locally owned Tex Mex joint in Chiswick.

Dominika Sielawa

Lettings Negotiator

Having first joined us from a previous job in hospitality, and after also having undertaken cabin crew training with BA, Dominika’s high level of customer service was evident from the start. Like many estate agents, Dominika started her career within the industry following her own property search which ignited a passion to help others achieve their own property goals. Now, after a brief move out of London, Dominika is back in the Negotiators chair using her strong work ethic and enthusiasm to meet new landlords and tenants every day however, she still manages to leave enough time for her personal interests of reading and walking her dog Amy.

Luke Vechionne

Lettings Negotiator

Luke was born and raised in Oxford. After working in retail, he moved to the fashion industry and quickly learnt how to work well under pressure to meet fast targets and how to prioritise whilst delivering outstanding customer service. Luke has developed a passion for lettings and honed his matchmaking skills during his six years in the property industry. He enjoys sourcing the perfect home for his clients which meets their needs and specifications. In his spare time his hobbies include going to the gym, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and cooking; his Italian roots are reflected in his choice of dishes.

Joel Gibson-Gleave

Lettings Negotiator

Property is in Joel’s blood due to helping his father – a developer and residential landlord – for many years. Joel is enjoying getting to know everything about our golden triangle of Hammersmith, Shepherd’s Bush and Chiswick. He has an abundance of energy and enthusiasm and loves meeting new people and delivering our signature sterling standard of service. Outside of work, Joel’s passion is music, which he studied at university to MA level while doing all the grades for guitar and singing.

Ashley Prowse

MARLA
Property Management

Ashley Prowse spent much of his career in the food and beverage industry before joining Horton and Garton. He finds that his people skills and attention to detail help him rise to the daily challenges of property management. Being raised in East Sheen hasn’t prevented Ashley from being a lifelong fan of North London’s Arsenal FC. Ashley plays a key role ‘behind the scenes’ and ensures our landlords and tenants are assisted promptly with any property maintenance issues – an area of the business which consistently receives rave reviews. Our landlord retention rate is extremely high and this is a testament to our hard working property management team. 

Amy Flood

Property Management

Being born and raised in Turnham Green, few know the streets (and shops) of Chiswick better than Amy. After starting her career in tenancy progression in Notting Hill, Amy’s desire to have her own personal portfolio of properties lead Amy to move to property management in 2018. Within months of Amy joining our property management team, positive reviews from happy West London landlords and tenants began pouring in commending her faultless client communication, and thorough and efficient response to property issues. 

Now, Amy’s moved North slightly to Acton but still ventures back to W4 to take her gorgeous Pomeranian Lola on morning walks around Gunnersbury Park. 

Nachelle Wallace

Lettings Administrator

A 10 year Chiswick local, Nachelle has a background in Special Needs Education and worked in local Ofsted outstanding W4 primary school. Calm and collected under pressure, she assists our property management and lettings teams to ensure the smooth running of daily operations. Nachelle’s eye for detail, passion for helping people and Client First mentality help ensure a five star service is consistently delivered to both landlord and tenant. Having previously worked on weekends within the Horton and Garton sales team, Nachelle realised her love for property and when a position arose she jumped at the chance to become a full time member of Team H&G.

Giorgia Cecconi

Chiswick Sales

Joining the team in 2020, Giorgia has returned to the area where her career in property originally started – Chiswick. Her fondness for the area has drawn her back to leafy W4, though she returns with a new perspective and now as a seasoned selling agent.

Having worked in a number of locations across the capital and with 5 years’ experience working as a London estate agent, Giorgia brings with her a passion for property and an impeccable track record.

When asked about her favourite things to do in Chiswick, Giorgia is quick to suggest a walk by the river followed by lunch at the Bell & Crown, dinner at Villa di Geggiano and the farmers market were also on her list.

Originally from Rome, Giorgia has a real passion for food and in fact has part in a family business making gluten free Italian goodies.

Emily Bosco

Office Administrator and Client Care, Chiswick

Emily brings a steady hand to administration and is diligent in her client care. She provides fundamental support to the Chiswick team that keeps the wheels in motion and delivers a 5-star standard of service our clients have come to expect from Horton and Garton.

A long time Chiswick local, Emily enjoys long walks by the river and looking around the many bookshops Chiswick High Road has on offer.

 

Jane Foster-Smith

Sales Historian

Jane is a long time resident of Brackenbury Village having purchased her property in 1991. After 30 years in the IT industry, Jane and her husband moved to Italy to convert an old winery cantina and run accommodation for visitors. While they were away from Hammersmith, Horton and Garton let and managed their property, being one of the first and longest clients. When they returned to their property, Jane’s relationship continued with Horton and Garton by joining the sales team in a sales support role. Jane is an active fundraiser and RNLI member and is passionate about local history and has taken on research of how Hammersmith, Chiswick and Shepherds Bush have been developed in order to contribute to our blog.
